"Apology for Spiritual Harm"
&
Response to "Apology for Spiritual Harm"
It was an historic moment in the journey of reconciliation between the Anglican Church of Canada and Indigenous people both within and outside the church.
On July 11, 2019 our outgoing Archbishop and Primate Fred Hiltz offered a heartfelt apology for spiritual harm done to Indigenous people because of the colonization of what we now know as Canada.
On July 16, 2019 the Indigenous Elders of General Synod 2019 offered a response to that apology.
